NO guns to town TOur @ Jericho 17th July 2010


The no guns to town tour started earnestly in the notoriously renowned gunman-town, the neighborhood of Jericho. Situated between the Nairobi Central business district and the sprawling slums of Industrial wastelands, Jericho hubs many unemployed youths who resort to criminal activities that mostly end fatally.

Exponential violence is meted out by these demographic group in the design of formed gangs of hoodlums that fleece the hood of its granduer of post-independence, black neighbourhoods status as well as it abled-bodied and all valuables.

The house rates have thus gone down and the community amenities left for ruins. What seemed to be the pride of Eastlands of Nairobi have turned to be the den and execution ground of gunslingers and trigger happy policemen.

In abiding to Majestic waks of disarmament No guns to town tour organised by Alliance Y.E.T.U., FootsoulJahs, David House and Ofafa Jericho Community Social Hall and all who made the concert a success, held the first no guns to town concert on the 17th July 2010 the year of our Lord of Lords.

As a pre-run of the 24th concert at the Sarakasi Dome. Artistes show cased what they were planning to perform of the material day.
