ERICK SMITH AND KIPRICH SAY NO TO GUNS

Jamaican-rooted Conscious Reggae artiste Erick Smith and his compatriot Kiprich of the famed "Telephone ting", are among the many artistes who have pledged their support for our NO GUNS campaign.

The two artists are due for a mashing concert come October this year under the Kingston Sounds promotional label captained by Ras Girgois.



The artistes have visited the country before and have had a feel of the warm hospitality it has to offer. Then, with local-bred Sudanese child, Singer Dynamic.

Their manager is Ras Dave Judah of Reggae jam Radio Show on WVIP 93.5 FM, New York,US.

P.s So watch out for the October show and if all goes well The Abyssinian might, just,might be doing a show in Kenya for the first time.Santa I massa gana.

Sawa Sawa Reggae Festival

It has been the 4th year that Sawa Sawa Reggae Festival has astounded many by hosting an international artiste once more. After Burning Spear, Black Uhuru and now Don Carlos the organisers and sponsors are certainly doing something right and should keep it up.

There is not much that can be said about the festival except that it has been getting better with the time.Let all Reggae fan maintain heavy manners and etiquette for future better show.

Fya Mummah Jahmby limelight comes of age at Don Carlos Concert.

She has certainly worked her way up the reggae juggling and Deejaying scene in Kenya. Until recently she was known as Sista Njambi but now rastarized Fya Mummah Jahmby, proved her iron at the Don Carlos concert.

Fya Mummah has a hold on the reggae fans and her voice and command is dominant that even the LION MAN Papah Chali gave her a thumbs up. At least, that was symbolic of the paw of approval from the don of Kenyan dancehall deejay. Papah Chali is the most eldest reggae deejay today playing with his oldest sound system King Lion Sound.Fya Mummah is a radio presenter and deejay with the first Reggae Radio Station Metro FM.

Reggae Superstar dons Kijiji cultural House's bracelet at Concert

“I love Jah Jah... oh yes ..I love him,” Don Carlos opened his Kenyan Sawa Sawa concert to an elated reggae fans. Packed in a stadium foreground; old, young, Chinese, European and Afrikans waltzed to his classics, hit after hit.

Wearing a white suit of elegant thread, under he wore a silky sky-blue shirt cuffed by enamel buttons, his distinct dread crown is unmistakably a Don Carlos novel demeanor. Backed by the Dub Vision band an all European band wearing a black sea of suit. To finalize the wardrobe, a Kijiji cultural House bracelet made sure that a passing glance would hardly miss the MessanJah had come to prophesy that the harvesting time is near.

Indeed on the material day some tares were self-evident as hooligans and unruly youths broke out “bang'arang”, despite calls and balls from Don Carlos himself fe dem to cool it.
